Preview: PERT | Postpartum Equity Response Tool

The Postpartum Equity Response Tool (PERT) is an emerging PPHEquity framework designed to support earlier recognition of postpartum hemorrhage risk, patient education needs, and barriers that may delay timely care.

PERT is being developed to explore how clinical warning signs, communication gaps, social determinants of health, and patient-reported concerns can be brought together to improve postpartum safety and maternal outcomes.

The goal is simple: help mothers feel informed, heard, and supported before complications become emergencies.

PERT is currently in development as part of PPHEquity’s ongoing work in maternal health education, advocacy, and equity-centered research.
